Eating in Helsinki

Lunch will be available at hotel Crowne Plaza (EUR 13,90) and at the Music Center (EUR 13,50) during the conference lunch break. Also Little Finlandia Café offers daily lunch (EUR 13,50) but has limited space.

There are also numerous restaurants and budget friendly fast food chains in the proximity of the conference venues for you to try out. You will be able to get 6,50 euro sandwiches/burgers to 15 euro lunches.

Drinking water

Finland is uniquely rich in surface waters and ranks amongst the best in the world for its tap water quality. It is not only completely safe but a pleasure to drink, with legislation ensuring that water does not contain substances or organisms that could cause any ill-health.

Electricity and plugs

Finland uses the Type F plug. Type F electrical plugs used in Finland are manufactured to the CEE 7/4 and CEE 7/7 standards and is commonly referred to as a Schuko plug (see picture). The standard voltage is 230 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.
