Orchestrating Change Me2 Orchestra

Orchestrating Change is the award-winning documentary that tells the inspiring story of the only orchestra in the world created by and for people living with mental illness. The mission of Me2/ Orchestra is to erase mental health stigma one concert at a time. Its groundbreaking, transformative model is truly changing the lives of these musicians and challenging audiences to reconsider their misconceptions about mental illness. Orchestrating Change is informative, uplifting, sometimes humorous and always empowering. It shows the role music can play in creating inclusion and acceptance.

Orchestrating Change will have its first release outside of the US as part of the 35th ISME World Conference. In addition to the film, there will be a Q and A session with the Conductor Ronald Braunstein, musicians and filmmakers.

World Arts Alliance for Education

The World Alliance for Arts Education  is a network of the  four organisations: International Drama/Theatre and Education Association (IDEA), International Society of Education through Art (InSEA),  International Society for Music Education (ISME) and World Dance Alliance (WDA) – a powerful voice for advocacy, networking and research.

During the 35th ISME Conference, the leaders/representatives of the Alliance will speak to the conference theme, A Visible Voice, by articulating how each organisation ensures visibility of the voice of the individual arts practitioner, educator and learner. The WAAE Panel will provide an opportunity for members to consider how closely related the various arts are, and the common challenges and solutions that may be in existence.
